Maybe it's mentally easy, as in there aren't many problems to solve, but it takes time, so having the necessary stamina is a major hurdle.
If there are no "hard parts" to tackle, then try tackling the most boring ones first, or the ones that will take the longest.
I never draw during the early stages of my art with music on, because I need to think. But then, when it's time to just line/color/render, which can be done almost on automatic mode (and takes 80% of production time), I can listen to music because even though it makes me less efficient, it keeps me less bored and thus more willing to put in the hours.
