I've just sorta acquiesced and accepted that being spied on is a part of modern day web browsing. I don't like it. In fact, I hate it. But I'm not nearly intelligent enough to understand why people are spying on me or what value my "data" holds for them. I fucking hate it. I fucking hate this cyber hell. You know that game, Deus Ex? I played it years ago. I remember there was a line when you talk to an AI. The AI said, "The need to be observed and understood was once satisfied by God. Now we can implement the same functionality with data-mining algorithms."
