If you remember a character named Meijin Euguchi/Mr. Famous from the anime (the scilab scientist who wore glasses and had spikey hair) he was the self-insert of the series producer, Masazaku Eguchi, who compares our modern world with smartphones, digital assistants, cyber crimes and the like to what once was to him a children's anime fantasy and not an actual attempt at predicting technology, so it's about time to bring the Net Battles from the show into a real context.
