The whatsapp account of my uncle got somehow stolen. The thief contacted me through it impersonating my uncle and asked me to send money to a random account.
I noticed immediately that something was off and started to use social engineering to get information about the thief.
I managed to get an ID number and a name, which we used to contact the police. However, I am still in contact with the thief and would like to try to get his current location.
I was thinking about baiting him to share his location with me through a link or something. Do you guys have any ideas what could I do?
