So I wouldn't overthink it and buy some kind of last gen i5 with an okay gpu for $1000+, not something top of the line because the price/performance ratio goes down the shitter.
I bought picrel in 2015 with windows 8 and it's still kicking with windows 10. I hear some people hate asus because of poor quality, but this one is really high quality. The hinge is still strong and the plastic is still good, even after thousands of gaming hours.
i7-4270HQ and gtx960m, 1250€ iirc.
Also, know going in that this is a waste of money.
