In essence, there used to be a general thread on /g/ called /cumg/ where a bunch of coomers would go to manage their terabytes worth of porn. Somewhere along the line, a userscript was made that allowed to embed links to image hosts in images. This was used for about what you're probably expecting. The general was banned from /g/ for embedding images and supposed CP. The userscript is hosted on a website who's link gets you an autoban. The thread you link is filled with lolicon drawings of babies. Pretty much all the posts "criticizing" pedophiles there are embedding pedo images, such as the one in pic related.
