>Gunsmith CatsTwo girls run a gun shop and bounty hunt on the side, very western and good action. 3 episode OVA from the 90's. Very stylish and has a dub too.
>Ashita no JoeAbsolute classic about a young delinquent becoming a boxer and the life he leads from then on, quite long at 120+ episodes over two seasons but has everything you want, action, thriller, drama, twists, surprises. Incredible anime despite being so old.
>Lupin III Part IV and VStories about the Legendary thief Lupin and his gang, usually involves stealing treasures, rescuing people or going after women. Requires no knowledge of previous Lupin parts. Similar to Bebop.
>Nadia: The Secret of Blue WaterA mysterious girl and a young french lad going on adventures around the world to discover the secret of her jewel, action, adventure, comedy. Good dub too.
>Michiko to HatchinAbout a convict mother breaking out of jail to find her daughter and go on an adventure throughout southern America to find their father. Unique style and feel to it and a decent story to boot.
>Kyou Kara Ore Wa!!Two kids join a new school and pretend to be delinquents, hilarity ensues. Has action and comedy. 10 episodes although very long, ranging between 40 minutes to an hour per episode.
>ZipangModern Japanese Battleship finds herself in the middle of WW2 after going back in time, has to deal with the complications of what to do as a neutral party with a powerful game changing ship. 26 episodes.
