I've been trying to access my uni website from home since the weekend but keep being timed out. I never had this issue before. I can't access my student portal to check for messages from my profs, cancelled classes and all that crap, and it's nearly finals week.
I tried disabling any browser firewalls, reset my modem, tried accessing the IP directly, used different browsers and computers in my house but just cant access the site. I was able to access it perfectly using USB tethering from a friend's mobile data.
I called up the IT department at my uni and they're reporting no issues. I called up the guys at my ISP and I was just told that the last google cache was on Dec. 1st. Does this mean the issue is on the school's side or the ISP guy has no idea what's wrong? Can anyone smart in tech think of what may be the issue?
