Yesterday I started having some audio issues with my laptop and I cannot resolve them, it's driving me NUTS. I can't play audio on it. I've tried absolutely everything. I've an HP Pavilion g7.
The problem seems to be driver-related. When I click on audio devices it only shows the HDMI output, and, obviously, when I plug it to my television through HDMI everything works perfectly. But as soon as I unplug it, the audio dies. There are no other audio output devices listed. I've checked on Device Manager and the only device that shows up on there is the AMD HD Output Device. I've tried updating it, I've tried downloading drivers from the HP site, I've tried Realtek Audio, I've tried everything a regular user could try to solve this, to no avail. I need this for work, I'm an english teacher, I can't go around with a busted laptop with no audio. Please, /wsr/, you're my only hope.
