>>461536Oh boy, looks like I hit the bullseye! I knew that writing style looked familiar. Maybe don't bother making a thread next time if you don't actually want advice. Because yes, like it or not, the best advice right now is "give up, it's not gonna happen." In the here and now, your flimsy "idea" has a 100% chance of failure. Instead of clinging to a ship that's sinking before even hitting the water, you should be focusing your energy into things that will actually pay off in the long term. Drawing, animation, game design, game programming, whatever. Then, in 5 to 8 years, you might have the skills necessary to get a foothold in the industry. If this is actually a dream of yours, that amount of time is totally reasonable. But considering your defensive response to the last guy suggesting you do that, it's clear you're a lazy sack of shit who refuses to be more than an "idea guy", and not even a good one. Yes, trying again and again through failure is good and necessary, but you're still stuck-up enough to envision yourself starting from the top. You say "start with small indie developer" rather than "start alone in my basement making RPG Maker games while working a part-time job." You imagine people helping you along after seeing your passion and vision, all while displaying none of either. Where's your concept sketches? Where's your proof of concept game? Where's your detailed proposal document? If you have any of that, great, but I'll tell you right now I think you're lying if you say you do. You know how much "passion" I see in a person who won't even invest a couple years into groundwork before pursuing their "dream"? Zero. And if they're asking me to invest *my* time and livelihood into something then they need to do better than that or fuck right off.
