I was young and dumb and torrented shit without a VPN for years.
So far I had to pay 3 times 800€ for 3 movies. I live in Germany.
German law says these fuckers can come after me for 10 fucking years!
I just found out about Usenet.
ALLEGEDLY it's safe.
Can't risk it though to pay another 3k in 10 years because I used it for some downloads.
I got a shitty 3-year NordVPN subscription, which I got 2 years ago because I still torrent from
time to time. Since 1 fucking year NordVPN removed the Socks5 P2P servers and they will
be "right back" since one fucking year...
Watched also a Linus Tech Tips video in regards to making your own VPN service.
Should / can I use NordVPN for Usenet?
Is there a VPN service that provides multiple servers for P2P and doesn't fuck me over?
Should I try to make that own Linus-Style VPN?
I also found shit like this:
https://www.newshosting.com/Should I go with a service like this? I am a total newbie at Usenet stuff and in regards to that with encryption.
Update:
I can temporarily fulfill my needs with Soulseek, my 1 free month of Amazon trial, and a shitty free Netflix account.
A lot of good shit is still on Usenet and Torrent sites though.... so far you guys have been very helpful.
