I want to make smooth, jazzy and relaxed tracks like you see in Persona 5, so I'm interested in what instruments Shoji Meguro used, how he used them and similar oddities. I'm not trying to directly only do that stuff, but I'm interested in it. Tracks like Tokyo Daylight, Beneath The Mask and similar.

I really want to know what he used here. I've never played any instruments but I'm interested in it. I can gather that he uses the guitar and (I'm guessing) a virtual sample of a violin, used more in tracks like the intro to Last Surprise, but what I'm really wondering about is what are the sounds that's in a lot of these tracks that sound...wavy, kind of.
Hard to explain, is it a synth or something? You can hear it directly in Tokyo Daylight at the very beginning, the main melody until it switches to Lyn Inaizumi's vocals.
