Title. I wanna know if Afro Samurai is a entirely japanese production or if it's a co-production. The imdb page states it's a japanese-american production

But, the wikipedia page states that the series was already finished when Samuel L. Jackson found about it and he just added american voice acting and music.

Which doesn't have any info about the subject at all. I does have some broken flash videos which I suppose have some information about the subject, but I'm not entirely sure about it.
