Spilled water on my laptop

Spilled water on my laptop, now my l key starts repeating randomly ,
but all the other keys are okay somehow
I can only replace this next week for some reason but I have to use my laptop ,
what can I do till then ?

Make excessive use of the L key so as to push as much water out as you possibly can. The arbitrary repeating is caused by water having accumulated below the key with no proper way out.

Put it in your hot water cupboard or in your roof for a week or until then. Worked for me for a cellphone I found that had been exposed to the rain and wouldn't turn on

unplug the battery
take off keyboard, few screws at the back and maybe some plastics things at the front that need pushing up
carefully unplug the keyboard ribbon
check where water got thru for damage to the board etc
order new keyboard off ebay £12 or so
plug in usb keyboard till it arrives
