I know this isn't what you're looking for, but DeepL is very good at translating stuff like this. It output:

When you put this in again and translate it to English, it gives you:

So it's probably a good translation. Sorry if this doesn't help, I'm just addicted to replying on /wsr/ even if I don't know much about the topic in question.

well what did you expect? it's using the same translator algorithm so of course it'll give almost the same text back if you translate back and forth

Isn't this the structure of Japanese? eg.

"thank you very much" goes at the end.
Direct translations are always weird.

Not really, google translate usually breaks down and gives an awkward output after translating it again, at least in my experience.
In any case, could provide a better translation?

It sounds alright when I change your "but" into "and since". Are you sure that "but" fits there? Isn't it just a coma and no でも or しかし?

its just disappointing how it's always the fastest person to reply who wins in these threads, even if their translation is worse than just posting the thing in english

Nobody won, I just realized I could thank him in English since he knew enough to understand the story in my game lol. But thank you for your efforts, they were still appreciated.
