being funny, I feel, is mostly about timing and originality. The shortcut is to just reference the first, most obvious cultural property of whatever you're discussing. By that, I mean memes. Did someone mention bitcoin? Just sperg out reddit style and reference whatever bitcoin memes there are. It makes basically everyone laugh because you just made them remember a better, actually good joke. People will start to think you're funny probably? Whatever, it works. Now, actually being original and unique is hard. But, to do that, you have to let go of social barriers as much as possible. You could also take some improv classes but I know nothing about that.
