I like boring pretentious shit like Mouryou no Hako, Rakugo (last season's AOTS), Ping Pong, and Kino no tabi. I like mecha shit like Fafner, Gunbuster, GaoGaiGar, and Gundam.
And I like spooky supernatural shit like Natsume yuujinchou, Uchouten Kazoku, and Kuuchuu Buranko.
I watched naruto back when I was like twelve and dropped it after that fat guy turned into a butterfly or whatever, and Kill la kill is just unremarkable. I think your problem is assuming everyone has to like 900 episode shonen shit.
