I find manga to be a very adolescent and one dimensional medium, usually geared to stale and bland tropes and mainly appealing towards teenagers

But I want to read more of it but it's so hard to find or know what is a good one out of all the hundreds of thousands of them, so what are the ones that would be considered "artistic" or "masterpieces" of the medium?
