here is a short film, that I like. I cant say its the best thing I've ever experienced, but I've never forgotten about it.

Umineko, Subahibi and Fate: Stay/Night. These VNs legitimately blew me away.
Besides that, you should play Omori. Yes, it's one of those "oh, it looks like EarthBound" type of RPGMaker games but its story really fucking hit me hard and I love it.
Also, Persona 3's story is great and I'll never forget it.
Welcome to the NHK is a good anime which also hit me hard.

Most of this is normie stuff though, so you've probably already heard of it.

I'd say Ping Pong the anime. I've branched out a bit into Chinese media and The Untamed and Word of Honor have been the top two things I've experienced this year. Both are on netflix or wherever you can stream CN titles.

The Haruki Murakami book "South of the Border, West of the Sun" ending left me gobsmacked, standing there with the book in my hand looking around dazed when I finished it.

The Longest Journey is a point and click adventure game with graphics that look like vomit by today’s standards. It is (as the title suggests) very long and it’s also one of the best stories I’ve ever experienced.
