i want to keep track of the ebooks that i've read (i have thousands) does anyone know some software/app for marking system files?

In android, there's that one office suite, wps office or something.

That's what I would have recommended. I've got 3500 entries in mine so far, mostly manga in zip files. I'm pretty happy with it. (on linux)
