how to check the number of tabs open on chrome

Preferable without external scripts.
Chrome is currently using 19 gb of ram and have a sneaking suspicion of it having 250+ tabs open.

okay, started counting it by hand and I am at third of the way with 600 tabs counted so far. What the fuck happened here?
