>turn laptop upside down on top of some rice for about 2 hours
>put it rightside up afterwards and leave the computer on before leaving the house
>come back and the computer is off

>turn computer on and makes weird noises before shutting off
>turn on again
>greeted by BIOS page and allows me to check if memory and hard drive are okay
>check memory
>memory is fine
>check hard disk
>'no hard drive found, hard drive not detected'

So what's going on here anons? Is my hard drive not being detected because the cables were shorted by the water or did the water completely fuck up the hard drive itself. Asking for a friend here.
