That's like most of scifi, bruh.
maybe you'd like Forever War or the Culture series. plenty of war in the first one, and plenty of different cultures in the other. I guess WH40k as well but that seems too obvious to mention in your case. Even the Halo series has novels and I've heard from one sci-fi fan they're decent enough.

The Man-Kzin Wars series in Larry Niven's Known Space universe comes to mind. A peaceful future Humanity makes first contact, and it's with a warlike race of cat assholes and they go back and forth conquering and enslaving each other for a century or two. Lots of short stories. There are numerous short stories about the races the Kzinti (cats) enslave in their interstellar empire as well.

I guess Mote in God's Eye and Footfall, both also Larry Niven work as well.
