When I boot this laptop, after the "Starting Windows" screen, I'm greeted with a black screen with just the power light on.

I took out the hard drive and booted to a Linux USB and it happened there too, so that probably rules out anything to do with the Windows installation
I ran Memtest86+ overnight and it passed with flying colors
I think I even tried booting it with the bottom RAM stick just in case and it still happened
I've seen the laptop suddenly jump to this state while booted to Windows

HOWEVER
It just boot just fine if I boot to Safe Mode or the Linux USB with ACPI off

I haven't tried removing the top RAM stick as taking this apart is a bit of a pain, so I'm holding off on that until as a last resort
