Yeah it's an obscure incident I stumbled upon whole researching the Åland War.
I haven't looked too far into it but apparently there might have been British exaggeration; not sure. Either way the paintings are of interest given the obscurity.

I was looking into it since you fellas are the only ones who still have a captured Royal Navy vessel that has never been returned https://www.visitkokkola.fi/en/neristan-walking-tour/the-english-park/
Plus I'm interested in Finnish history in general.

I'm currently on mobile which means I can't edit the other pics.
Here is what I did in case anyone wants to help with the other pics
>download the unwatermarked 600px thumbnail from gettyimages
>upscale it to 2048px with waifu2x
>download the watermarked 2048px image from gettyimages
>download the same pic from alamy
>upscale it to 2048px with waifu2x
>open gimp
>import all 3 pics as layers
>top layer the 2048px gettyimage
>middle layer the upscaled alarmy pic
>bottom layer the upscaled thumbnail
>make all pics properly align.
>add transparency layer to every layer
>remove saturation on every layer
>adjust brightness on middle and bottom layer to fit the brightness of top layer.
>select top layer
>remove watermark with eraser
>select middle layer
>remove watermark with eraser
>export image
>done
