I'm a giga boomer and haven't followed the anime scene since the mid 2000s. I used to think modern anime and the direction the industry has taken just made it not for me anymore, but I recently watched the popular show Attack on Titan, and I was genuinely impressed with it. The distinct setting, the fluid animation during combat scenes, and the music really sucked me into the show. Sort of made me feel like a kid again, watching an anime I really enjoyed for the first time. Anyway, I was hoping to get some recommendations from you anons on what genuinely recent anime I should catch up on. Surely there's a few shows from recent memory that you'd recommend. Let me know.
