Hello /wsr/

I want start a thread with you about "True love" movies.

I'm looking for that kind of movies (or series) where the love betweens protagonists is deep. Not that kind of movies where we see a couple with "normal" relation like Match Point, Whatever Works, or Lost in Translation. But something deeper, like The Miracle Worker (Mom with her daughter), The curious case of Benjamin Button (He dropped all he had for his wife and let her make a new life), The king of thorns (She "gave" herself in sacrifice for her sister)... The kind of love who's very difficult and mostly need to do a big sacrifice. It can be a movie or serie, animated or not, I just want to see something with a very strong love.

For 5 centimeters per seconds, I already seen it,as very nice, I seen The place promised in our early days too, and overall all Makoto Shinkai's movies (Harmonie, The voice of distant star, Garden of words... ...) and that's all good, very good. But it's not like True love, I mean it's a very strong love for most of them, but the true love is more heartbreaking, like in "The curiose case of Benjamin Button", the way he act for the hapyness of his wife, is really heartbreaking, the way Shizuku act in "The king of Thorns" it's really heartbreaking too.
In 5 centimeters per seconds it's poignant but's all.

Thanks for the book, I will see for it too because I'm not a english native speaker but I will take time for read them.

For other example : Cowboy bebop (Spike/vicious and Julia), Mirai Nikki in some different context, Madoka, Shinsekai Yori, in Anime.
In real movie : The butterfly effect (he kill himself because he can't help her when he's alive), the illusionist (they was in love kids, lost of view, and years later they still love each other), Redline (same thing), and Princess Mononoke.
As long as I know, it's all I seen with what I define like a True love.
