yeah but how do I post the ones I made on 4chan? I found some free webm makers on google but I cant post them here despite them being within the file size limit

What error message is 4chan giving you? The problem could be that:
>your webm has audio and you're trying to post to a board that doesn't allow audio (any board outside of /gif/, /wsg/, /r/, /wsr/)
>your webm uses an unsupported codec like vp9 or opus
>your webm is below 4chan's size limit for pictures, but not the limit for webms (6mb on /gif/ and /wsg/, 3mb elsewhere)
>your webm is longer than the limit (5:00 on /gif/ and /wsg/, 2:30 elsewhere, I think)
>your webm's dimensions are above the limit (2048x2048)

Use cloudconvert. When you convert a video to webm, make sure to click on the wrench icon. You are presented with advanced options. Now, for video and audio Codecs you pick VP8 and Vorbis respectively. You can also choose none for audio to mute the video. Resolution speaks for itself.

there are some settings you need to change like setting video codec? to VP8 and audio codec to Libvorpis. idk what these mean by you can set them using this converter

Give it a run after installing youtube-dl and ffmpeg.
