Suppose you have a slot machine with 9 distinct icons. For instance, 9 different pictures of cats. Question is, if you do 3 rolls, what are the odds that you get the exact same outcome 3 times in a row?

I have one answer, someone else has a different answer and I want a 3rd opinion. We both think it's really simple, but are thinking about it differently I guess? My logic is that you simply take the number of satisfactory outcomes divided by the total number of possible outcomes.
