Maybe a printer that doesn't have ink cartridge anti-counterfeit measures? Maybe a chinese one in aliexpress? Please knowers fill me in, because It's retarded having to pay $45 for a printer and then $30 for new cartridges

Do you need color? if you don't just get this or any of the cheap laser printers. Yes they cost more but you won't be spending money every month on ink.

If you need an inkjet and print in color a lot, buy one with continuous ink supply system (ciss), some epsons come with one preinstalled. You don't want it drying up though so if you need color only occasionaly look at color laser printers, they're not that expensive. If you don't need color at all, go laser (downside is refilling cartridge is ultra messy if you decide to do it yourself).
