>>1125559Your sophistry won't work on me. VI wraps up the first story arc, but not the season. There's a lot more to be explored in the world of Haruhi, and they find a lot of interesting plot points to touch on in the following episodes. (1/2)To support my claims, I present anons who have said:
>>1125450>I've watched it as broadcasted and there's some weird time/plot jumps I couldn't understand what was going onNewcomers will be too confused to fully appreciate what's going on in each episode, and will miss little details, jokes, and references that they would only pick up on again on a second watch through, but there is no guarantee that they would enjoy the show enough to watch it a second time, especially if they weren't able to fully appreciate it due to a lack of understanding. So in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the show and to fully appreciate it, chronological order seems to be the optimal order.
>>1125448>>1125470>They even put it in chronological order on DVDs and blu-rays>there's a reason they abandoned it for dvd releasesThese anons bring up a good point. Even the writers for the show finally acknowledged that it was better for the viewers to fully appreciate the show if they could watch it in the correct order, rather than the broadcast order, which they must have finally acknowledged was merely a misguided attempt at enhancing the theatrical effect. If the even the writers and publishers couldn't stand by the broadcast order for their dvd and bluray sales, then that says a lot about the broadcast order's effectiveness at enhancing appreciation for the story.
