I'm an atheist and even I think you're just reaching for something to be outraged about, the same way OP thought the comic was about sin when no sin is shown. You're both just putting your pre-existing beliefs into vague artwork. The comic at most shows you that you shouldn't trust signs with promises on them and that you shouldn't count on Jesus to warn you about obvious bullshit.
