I'm going to be in a country with almost zero internet for about 1 year and figure it would probably be a good idea to load up on entertainment. Rather than listing the stuff I like and expecting recommendations based on that I'd really like to hear what you've been enjoying, either recently or historically.

Books, anime, manga, tv, movies, not really games (although I will have my laptop with me), and so forth.
