I don't recall girls being eaten by monsters in Alien 9 but it does have the cute/horror contrast. Still wish they animated the whole manga..

Gleipnir came out recently and had a bit of that. HotD had a lot of great scenes that scratched that itch, but it was popular enough you've probably come across it already.

I know more manga that have it than anime, if you're interested.
