Can anyone think of a series with a lot of mystery and details and stuff that I can theorycraft about and get autistic over? SnK left a hole in my heart, is this what it was like for normies when LOST ended?

really any long ongoing franchise/book series (YA shit like skulduggery pleasant for example or light novel shit like raildex)

Everybody is a normie, no matter how different you want to be. Snk was literally the biggest anime for the last 5 or so years. And yes, Lost was the biggest shit ever, only Breaking Bad and GoT came close to its popularity.

Fringe has all this mystery shit you want, it's pretty episodic (meaning that most episodes are its own thing, and the main plot isn't constantly addressed) so maybe you will find it boring after binge watching, but the themes and the setting are great so it's worth it at the end, I highly recommend it.

And you might as well watch LOST, up to the fifth season it was the greatest TV show of all time, maybe the best piece of motion picture media of all time. It got romance, mystery, division and union, all ingredients for a great story.

If non-manga is fine: A Song of Ice and Fire. Despite the disastrous TV ending, there are still a lot of mysteries left to unravel since it took a very different turn. Now if only GRR Martin would get off his ass and finish the books.

For completed series, visual novels Zero Escape and Steins;gate are fun noodle scratchers.

Peter Dinklage literally looks at the camera and explains to you how Dragon Hitler was foreshadowed the whole time, and you dismissed it because you didn't want it to be true.

The books will either have the same ending that was planned from the beginning, or a deeply unsatisfying tacked-on u-turn.

Just watch the next work the same studio made, Ranking of Kings. Really good and creator has life experience rather than whatever clusterfuck SnK became. Its like watching Demon Slayer after finishing Fate series by Ufotable.

Yeah, while I give him kudos for actually finishing the story and not keep it running indefinitely the fact remains that of course as soon as the mystery of the Titans was revealed it got lame.
Every half brained person could have told him that the real stars of the show and the ones who would get the most fan letters are not the main characters - but the Titans, you know, the ones the show got its name from. The show is best when it's about Titan fightan. I would have preferred if they really HAD BEEN the last humans or at least the Titans would not have been directly linked to other humans.
"The Titans are made out of humans by an enemy nation" is one of the lamest reveals that could have been done.

I've heard that compared to Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni has a harder mystery to solve. Read the visual novels though, and not the animes as the Umineko one is incomplete and leaves out a lot of details and the Higurashi one leaves out details that might make it harder or near impossible to solve the mystery and the tone it sets is different from the visual novel.

Make sure to use the 07 mod for both in order to have the full experience - voice acting and better art.

One piece hands down, you can theorycraft way too much and theorize like a crazy man, other really good choice its Gundam, a lot of content to go crazy over for last i would say Fate as a whole is really good to theorycraft due to how extensive it is.
