Forced memes work best on fast boards where it's hard to tell the difference between a spontaneous meme and a forced one because the high thread turnover rate and post rate makes it hard to tell where something started.
On slow boards like /wsr/ made up of a few regulars, it's transparent as fuck when a meme is being forced. Take Eucliwoodfag and Aquarionfag for example. Nobody but themselves thinks they're funny and the forced meme doesn't catch on because there isn't a constant influx of new users who see it and simply assume that they need to adopt it in order to fit in.
