Later parts doesn't really fit the city/densely populated areas requirement; it's mostly ruins and small amount of space/spaceship stuff.
The Last Red Shoulder: Involves busting some underground secret base with tight spaces and actions.
Big Battle: There is some fight in the interiors of a battleship.
Mellowlink: It has that one episode with a battleship tower and another where they fight in a castle, but that's really stretching the line.
Pailsen FIles: the last third of it has a lot of fighting in urban/sci-fi environment.
Shining Heresy: It has quite some fighting in a temple but it's not very populated.
Phantom Chapter: I think there is some fights in urban ruins, but I don't think it's very long/majority of the fights.
For spin-offs that are not named, I don't remember them having fights in urban/populated environment but it's been 5+ years since I binged watched all of them.
Here's more that I can think of (I only watched Obsolete):
Megazone 23, even though the robots are not exactly big.
Obsolete, again, not giant robots but some urban combat environments.
Detonator Orgun, once again, not exactly giant robots but I think it has fighting in cities.
