Since /qa/ stopped working I don't know where to ask this, so sorry if this isn't the correct place. Is it really true they are planning to put down 4chan?

I've been browsing through altchans during the last couple of weeks and the shooting caused a lot of trouble over there, so I'm clueless if something similar happened here, if there has been any official announcement from 4chan's moderation, that's why I'm asking.

If it had to, 4chan could move to the same country where e-hentai and other such sites are located.

Hiiroshimoot could also investigate whether or not some of the bandwidth of the slower subforums could switch to a distributed load system that both mangadex and e-hentai use.

e-hentai and Sad Panda are located in the Republic of Moldova which is the sliver country next to Ukraine. Such websites cannot be located in countries where DMCA is strong such as the USA, Japan, or the EU. If Russia takes over Ukraine, it would make sense for them to conquer Moldova as well due to its tactical land position.

Censorship has really squeezed down the number of boards. Activists look for boards that allow open or unmoderated topics, and then try to get each into trouble with constant complaints to the law and ISP. In some cases, it looks like illegal material is even planted to try to frame the site right before a report is filed.

The method proposed by social justice activists to "put down" 4chan is to join the site as janitors and then move into moderator positions as openings appear. A janitor can shape thread topics by reporting topics for certain specific key users that are the most eloquent at opposing SJW causes. By just getting rid of key users, the intelligence level in the thread drops and it becomes dominated by noise and shitposting thus effectively making the thread useless as a red pill.

If a federal court agrees with an evaluation by the Disinformation Governance Board, then certain items can be forbidden on 4chan due to the cost of defending against each lawsuit. Even though 4chan would eventually win the lawsuits, it will run out of money and die from the lawsuits it keeps winning.
