Becoming an expert in adobe photoshop.

I am looking for an EXTENSIVE online course or website or resource to fully master adobe photoshop.

Learn all there is to know about photoshop to do professional photo editing, animations with the animation feature, 3D with the 3D feature, drawing digitally.

There is a difference between knowing how to draw and FULLY use all the extensive features a tool (photoshop) has.

I want to learn the features.

There are lots of courses in udemy, but they are lacking and rushed at best, just a 1 minute "this tool does x" and done, without any practical use.

You don't even draw in Photoshop. If you want vector art you use Inkscape, or Krita for the usual stuff. If you want to do 3D painting you use Substance Designer/Whatever. If you want animations you don't do them in Photoshop either.

I don't care. Nobody is doing animation on Photoshop, thus you won't find anyone teaching you that, since it's garbage. What you want to learn is something that requires a couple years of practice; it's not as easy as watching a course for a month and then knowing everything. Just keep working on stuff and you'll slowly get there, but really, give up on using it for stupid shit where other tools are better suited.

No serious business or actual CG expert uses inkscape or Krita, they are open source crappy alternatives.
The only time these are mentioned is when someone wants to shill for them or when some hipster doesn't want to pirate photoshop.
Adobe photoshop/after effects/illustrator is the industry standard for professionals.

Follow along as best you can, you'll be forced to teach yourself the basics pretty quickly in order to keep up.

I hate this retarded "argument" so much and wish it wouldn't be spouted everywhere. Illustrator is such a buggy mess I seriously wonder why people still pay for this. Adobe gives a flying fuck about their customers and ignore wishes and instead renames "master pages" into "parent pages" in indesign to not hurt the feelings of people who could feel offended or whatever, while the Affinity suite and even open source software closes the gap to adobe real fast and even surpasses them in some areas. I can't wait for Adobe to finally die, but sadly, that day won't ever come because of monkeys like you who still regurgitate "Adobe is the industry standard, mwa mwa mwa."

Frankly, I'll take "parent pages" over something allowing a completely different document's "align and distribute" panel (which inexplicably doesn't behave like every other panel in the application) to float over the window you're working on, so when you click it it moves random objects in another window you can't even see.

Basic opinion. Download Krita and Inkscape and learn to draw, instead of thinking about stuff that doesn't matter.

They exist but are payment courses. The instructor also assesses your progress along the way and you get active feedback. You stated you don't want open source or hipster online courses. So that means professional online courses.

If after all your rejections of everyone's suggestions, you resort to rejecting the professional online courses in Photoshop, then you are NGMI as everyone else has said.

As for serious photoshop use where you do draw on the layers, you will need a video drawing tablet. It's far more natural to draw directly on the image itself rather than with a stylus as you are glancing on a monitor. A URL below shows an example of what I am talking about. Wacom makes a better one, but there is nothing like drawing directly on the illustration itself as that is more natural feeling.

Counterpoint, you can't see through your hand, but you can see through the cursor. It would be more natural to fly a plane by t-posing like kate winslet, but natural doesn't always mean effective.

And if you have a good monitor, you'll get better colour reproduction than the lowest-bidder panel inside a preowned cintiq.

Fortunately, if you have a video tablet you can do either, but a video tablet absolutely is not a necessity. It's not like production houses couldn't do their jobs back in 2000 when tablets didn't have monitors in them.

I am not looking for tablets or drawing advice, just how to use the software in question in full.

In terms of courses, any is good as long as is an extensive photoshop one. A website, book, course, etc is good as long as it is goes thoroughly all photoshop features.

They have those at vocational schools. My area has an accredited vocational community college. It's a full accredited community college but emphasizes vocational knowledge + training to use that knowledge. It has photoshop courses. If my city can have this, then you are possibly close to one as well.

This sounds like you're holding the pen wrong. When you draw, either digital or on paper, you actually see the part where the tip meets the surface; if you don't, review the basics and learn to hold.

NGMI as an artist, because your attention should be on the tip while tracing a line, not elsewhere. If this happens to you, get good.
