Crossword puzzles, logic puzzles, that sort of thing. I like card games, and I've never tried tabletop gaming, but I'd like to give it a shot.
I like playing soccer, hiking, and swimming, and biking. I've already looked at soccer clubs, but the only adult league available in my city was on Wednesday nights.
I'd like to get my Master's in physics pretty soon, so it would be great to find a study partner that I could practice with. Unfortunately my local community college doesn't offer any science or math courses beyond the basics. I like cooking and baking, and I'd like to get better at it. I'm registered for a baking class now, but it doesn't start until September and it's only four weeks long anyway.
I'd be fine with doing grunt volunteer work - chopping vegetables or washing dishes or whatever - if it meant I could talk to people and make some friends.
