I've watched most of this list and I've liked the stuff from Otomo (Akira/Steamboy) a lot. What are some of the essentials/greats of anime with highly detailed drawings? I also really like the detailed drawings of Katsuya Terada.

These seem like great suggestions. Someone also recommended me One Punch Man (the manga only), Macross Do You Remember Love, and Katsuya Terada’s Monkey King manga.

I always felt this one some of Sunrise’s best drawings, but nobody I know of likes the series. This makes your recommendation have a lot of value to me.

I've been seeing this getting shilled a lot on /wsr/ so I was nervous if it would be any good, but it seems like some of the drawings are pretty solid.

Remind me of the animated sequence in Killer7 where one of the characters drives a sports car at such a fast speed it kills him. Looks really cool.

I think some of the omissions in my version make sense e.g. Haruhi being overhyped. However, Bakemonogatari is pretty well written and probably deserves to be on the list. Maybe fanservice allergic Redditors did this? Bakemonogatari is genuinely one of the few animes that made me think really hard about life and people.

yeah, bakemono feels like it's gonna be one of the pretentious anime where character just babble the latest philosophical quotes the author just read but it turns out to be really good and while there are metaphors, those metaphor are usually literal as well.
