Yeah, openemu. It lets you put in cheat codes, but they don't work and it makes the program crash lol

Literally ruins the point of playing games. I just hate having the *ability* to cheat, because when I'm grinding in an RPG or whatever the back of my mind is always telling me "you don't have to do this"

Sounds to me like you're not enjoying the game. If you're getting a feeling of "you don't have to do this" it's because you're doing something that you don't really want to do.

Of course I don't enjoy grinding, but the payoff is nice. Like I said I have zero self control so I'll never get the payoff if I'm able to easily cheat.
