The Elven Empire is the dominant superpowers of that world. True that most of the info about the Elves are found in supplements; however, the main story alone is enough to show their outlook and interaction on other races and vice-versa, their aptitude compared to other races, their interventionary tendency to other states whenever Magical Dungeons connecting to what amounts to The Warp are found, and more.
Overall, Dungeon Meshi has a deep lore on each and every race, and the ecology of the Dungeon itself.
