Much like anyone on /pol/ calling for literally any type of action nonviolent or otherwise being labeled a fed, any new site is just going to be labeled a honeypot (even though its logistically impossible for that to be the case) once laws get strict enough and old sites will eventually die as the main contributing members fall off. /t/ and nyaa for example are impossible to shut down because its just so public and every other anon has backups of backups of everything. Itd be nice if nyaa posted a torrent with all the torrent files ever uploaded but thats not that necessary.
As you say, private trackers are a great way to filter out normalfags but I think they only really work in the current/past environment on the internet where theres just so much going on that these groups can remain unmolested. Piracy works when theres easy access to for less dedicated people to seed files. Sure autists like me will have 40TB of random shit seeding constantly and will buy rare cds just to rip but if Im taken out of the chain and there arent any normalfags seeding my torrents...then i might as well never have tried.
I think they are useful for turbo autists like me but when invites are so hard to get that I have to spend 100 bucks for an account its kinda ridiculous and prohibitive to contributing. Id rather spend that money buying more cds to upload to nyaa
