>>1267632I work primarily from my computer, and only use my phone on-the-go; I usually want to move whatever files I’ve acquired on my phone so that I can work with them on my computer, or archive them on an external hard drive.
I suppose I can see removable storage being near-useless for somebody who works primarily from their phone.
If your curious what “work” I do on my phone, it’s mostly creative work (writing), note taking, journaling, audio recording (for interviews with family, religious rites, or storytelling sessions with friends), media consumption (I prefer to watch downloaded videos, audiobooks, podcasts, books, comics, manga, etc), and archiving (important or memory-holed internet history, primary sources, family documents, etc).
I use my phone a lot when I’m at church, a friends house, a seminar, the warehouse I work at, or when I’m on some other outing, but when I get home, I use my computer for most digital activities— its more convenient since it can run torrenting and rendering programs, not to mention, I find browsing the internet to be much more enjoyable on desktop than mobile.
