I don't wanna make my own thread but I have a problem I wanted help with, I keep trying out manga and can't find anything that's interesting to me.
>Claymore
I thought it was mediocre and repetitive but the art was astonishingly good; dropped it a few volumes before the end.
>Berserk
Golden Age was fucking amazing but I put it on hold before the boat arc because god, I got sick of Guts killing a million things in a single swing over and over, and people talking about "dream this" and "dream that." Too much damn talking. Still gonna finish it eventually.
>Trigun
I haven't tried Maximum, but I started Trigun and everything was so over-the-top that it felt like I was reading a cringe deviantart comic written by a middleschooler. Art was fun though; dropped it early. I do wanna try Maximum later but I don't know if that's like a remake of Trigun or if it's a continuation of the story.
>Ajin: Demi-human
Premise is interesting, but the execution is kind of weird, I don't feel like I'm the demographic. It feels like it's written for lonely schoolkids that want to feel special; dropped early.
>Hyouryuu Kyoushitsu
This one was super cool at first but the brutality became comical and the story felt kinda stupid when the weird psychic shenanigans started happening; dropped, might try it again in the future.
>GunSmith Cats
I really wanted to love this one right away because I love guns, the characters look cute, and I know everyone loves gunsmith cats! I'm fine with fanservice, I fucking love Gantz, but it didn't feel tasteful at all here. When sexuality is used to gain an advantage in a fight, that's one thing, but it felt kind of gratuitous here for some reason. I dunno, I dropped it and I was sad for it.
My actual 3 favorites are
>Gantz
>Soil
>Fire Punch
but I haven't read enough manga to completion for that list to be fair. I don't even know what it is that I'm looking for in a story. I've watched and loved hundreds of anime, why is there so little manga I love?
