Just bought a 10TB hard drive, making all my other hard drives useless. When it gets full I will buy another one.

What do with the old ones? Throw them away?

Buy external enclosures and use them as large usb drives if they don't require too much power.

Lame.

They're landfill, pull them apart. The platters are super shiny and make brilliant mirrors. If you get fingerprints on them use them in a game of ultimate ultimate frisbee. You get good at it fast because if you don't duck them or catch them they'll mess you up.

Buy an external DOCK and plug it in. Run your torrents on the obsolete small drives (if 1TB or smaller) so that you don't churn your big drive.

They're not useless if there is still room inside the PC case. Just get some more SATA cables and connect those drives to the unused SATA sockets on the moherboard. Or if you don't have any more room, swap out the smallest drives, then get an external DOCK as mentioned in >>1270014 and plug those SATA drives into the dock as needed.

Docks really make it easy to use your spare drives.

Back up your 10TB across all of them, then put them somewhere safe.

Or put them in games consoles/Steam machines, where if they fail it matters literally zero fucks.
