I know these arent the simple terms you'd expect, so I'll try with a different comparison, the void in monogatari and ougi resembling the opposite is like the truth in fma its the same concept
In the end its a short term state of mind which is very revealing but mostly (except for maybe Meditation though i guess even this way is hard as hell) comes with a cost, which is why araragi literally had to escape hell after being killed by gaen (she who knows everything) for this purpose, or in fma's case the pay with body parts or abilities
To paraphrase from tao of physics:

its hard to explain but every "serious" religion book is basically built on that concept and its principles
