When I finish better call Saul, I want to watch a mecha anime. Pic related is the only one I ever touched. I always was interest in the Getter Robo OVAS and Evangellion even though I heard it gets to shit. I also wanted to try Gundam. Im open to most things.

Watching the Evangelion anime + End of Evangelion movie alone is an extremely rewarding experience.

Ignoring the remakes that are cash-grabs (although admittedly beautiful) is an OK thing to do.

Idk who lied to you but the og anime and movie hold up amazing. I binge watched the entire thing in a night, slept at 10am, woke up 2pm, watched the movie, and just lay in bed staring at the ceiling I was blown away. What >>1294342 is partially true. If you want more Eva with an alternate ending (the remakes are a sequel to the original) then watch them too. All the Getter Robo OVAs are kind of messy in one way or another. Many of them assume you already know the basics. Armageddon is my favorite but it changes tone early on due to (presumably) the director changing.
