Old boring questions

Basically looking for either scientific or artistic means to MAP and MIX colors in realistic paintings... or any image really. Especially the mixing and mapping like how two colors may overlap each other in a reflections... and then how translucent object will cast both light and shadow which logically will blend and make x% light and x%shadow... and how they actuallyMAP(i think i actually know this where you just have to pull a line from object to object), which i kinda have idea how the math is like color A multiplied by color B so you get RGB multiplied amount also multiplied by luminosity value but idk

How else to predict this more precisely AND systematically, more correct? It seems like there s a solid pattern to it kinda like blue being analogous to red and so on but i didnt study fine art either.
And i cpuld be wronf and there s nothing like that so whatever shoot away.
